Jeffrey and Debra Rapoport, founders and owners of Jordan Caterers, met in the sixth grade while growing up in Waterbury, Connecticut. Debbie's first job in the food service business was with a luncheonette in the basement of a historic city department store. Jeff began his food service career working for the Steak Loft in Milford, owned by Steve Rubell of Studio 54 fame. They both continued to collect experience as they worked their way through college in fine dining establishments from New Orleans to Atlanta to Boston. In 1979, they both gave up their professional careers to realize their dream of opening and establishing their first business, "The Eaterie". Over the next six years, catering and event planning became a large part of their core business. The rest is history. Jordan Caterers was born.
